LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION
BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FOR LEWIS TOURIST HOME

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County
Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on
July 27, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor
meeting room in the County Office Building.
The purpose of the meeting is to consider a
petition by Linda Lewis for a Special Exception
to allow a tourist home. The location of the property is
156 E. Vinkaya Drive in Jackson Township.
Legal description of premises: A part of the East half of
the Southeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 10 North,
Range 2 East, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said half quarter and
running thence West, 1349.9 feet to an iron pin:
thence North, 1610.1 feet to an iron pin:
thence South 89 degrees 53’ East, 1236.6 feet to an iron pin:
thence South 15 degrees 24’ East, 425.5 feet to an iron pin,
thence South, 1200.6 feet to the place of beginning.
Also, a 30.0 foot wide easement with a centerline described as follows:
Beginning at a point located 503.0 feet East of
the Southwest corner of the above described tract
and running thence South 1081.0 feet to the center of
a county road for a place of ending. Excepting therefrom
the following described tract: Part of the SE ¼ of the
SE ¼ of Section 1, T 10 N, R 2 E, Jackson Township,
Brown County, Indiana, described as follows:
beginning at the SE corner of the S 1/4 of the
SE 1/4 of said Section1: thence N 90-00W
(bearing from Wells R.L.S. #9427) with the South line of
said SE 1/4 SE 1/4 846.9 feet to the center of a 30 foot wide
easement as described in DE 125 page 129 in the
Office of the Recorder of Brown County, Indiana.
Thence with the center of a 30 foot wide easement
for ingress, egress and utilities: N04-00W 100.0 feet,
N 12-00E 100.0 feet, N 20-00E 100.0 feet,
N 31-00E 100.0 feet and N35-00E 100.0 feet, N 20-00E
thence N 68-00E 744.2 feet to the East line said
SE 1/4 SE 1/4; thence S00-00W with said East line 738.0 feet
to the beginning, containing 10.68 acres, more or less.
The file on this matter is available for public inspection
10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours
at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the
County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.
All interested persons will be given the opportunity
to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition.
Written comments regarding the petition,
which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission
before the hearing, will be considered.
The hearing may be continued from time to time.
