NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO CONDUCT A RECREATIONAL EVENT ON PUBLIC WATERS

You are notified that Planet Adventure, LLC whose address is 12447 Windbush Way, Carmel, IN 46033 has applied to the Division of Law Enforcement of the Department of Natural Resources, under IC 14-15-7-3 and 310 IAC 2.1-3, for a permit to conduct a recreational event on Salt Creek. The recreational event requested in the application is an adventure race that would include canoeing the Salt a mile north and south of the Maumee Bridge, at the intersection on W county Rd 1000N and N County Rd 1190W. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2011.  An interested person may do either or both of the following: (A) File a petition with the central office of the division requesting an informal hearing that is signed by at least twenty-five (25) individuals who are at least 18 years old and who reside in Brown or Jackson County. A hearing under this clause is governed by 312 IAC 3.  (B) Request the division to notify the person in writing when an initial determination is made to issue or deny the permit.  Following the receipt of notice under this clause, the person may request administrative review by the commission, under IC 4-21.5 and 312 IAC 3, of the initial determination.  The address for the Law Enforcement Division is as follows: Law Enforcement Division, Department of Natural Resources, Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W255D, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
