NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids will be received as follows:

FOR: BROWN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE LAB RENOVATION Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at: BROWN COUNTY SCHOOLS ADMINISTRATION BUILDING 357 E. Main Street, Nashville, Indiana 47448. At the following day and time: Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM local time. Bids may be delivered to the following location until the time as indicated: BROWN COUNTY SCHOOLS, ADMINISTRATION BUILDING 357 E. Main Street, Nashville, Indiana 47448 Bids received after the date and time set for receipt and opening of bids as herein indicated will be returned unopened. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bidders may obtain complete sets of Construction Documents from the office of Marbaugh Reprographics Supply Co. Inc. 801 North Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 Phone: 317-631-1000, www.marbaugh.com. Bidders may obtain up to two sets of documents for $100.00 refundable deposit per set. DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY: Documents will be available on a refundable basis while supplies last. After the supply is gone, documents will be available on a non-refundable basis only. Individual sheets of Drawings will be furnished for a $2.00 charge. Individual sheets of specifications will be furnished for a $.20 charge. These charges shall be non-refundable. Bids shall include BID SECURITY in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Sum including all add alternates. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 00200 - Instructions to Bidders. BIDDERS are urged to attend a pre-bid conference with representatives of the Owner and Architect to discuss the projects and related requirements. Prebid conference will convene at: BROWN COUNTY SCHOOLS ADMINISTRATION BUILDING 357 E. Main Street, Nashville, Indiana 47448. Pre-bid conference date and time is: Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 2:00 PM local time. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. Base bids may be held for the following period before award of Contract: One Hundred and Twenty (120) Days. Should a successful Bidder withdraw his bid of fail to satisfactorily execute all of the requirements and enter into a written Contract within ten (10) days after Notice of Acceptance of his bid, the Owner may declare the Bid Security forfeited, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages. The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond from an approved surety company, which will remain in full force and effect for a period of one (1) years after date of final acceptance of work. Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall be in an amount equal to the following percentage of the Contract Sum: One hundred percent (100%). Pursuant to I.C. 5-16-7-1 of the State of Indiana, and before any work is performed, the bidder receiving the award of the Contract and their Subcontractors shall file with the Owner a schedule of hourly wages to be paid to employees performing work on the project. In no case shall the rates filed be less than those established pursuant to I.C. 5-16-7-1, et seq., as amended or supplemented, a copy of with common wages will be on file in the Owner's office.
