FOR THE CRANDOL TOURIST HOME

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on March 23, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Jason and Joy Crandol for a Special Exception to allow a tourist home. The location of the property is 426 Pine Ridge Road in Washington Township. Legal description of premises:  Part of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter and part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 9 North, Range 2 East, Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at a stone found marking the Southwest corner of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 21, said stone also marking the Southeast corner of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 21; thence South 87 degrees 38 minutes 57 seconds West (assumed bearing) on and along the South line of said Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter, 411.00 feet to an iron pin set in Pine Ridge County Road; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East 663.25 feet to an iron pin set in the apparent center of Sciscoe Branch; thence the following four (4) courses are with the apparent center of said Branch: North 89 degrees 33 minutes 00 seconds East 22.74 feet to an iron pin set, North 79 degrees 12 minutes 20 seconds East 284.34 feet to an iron pin set, South 77 degrees 40 minutes 00 seconds East 127.04 feet to an iron pin set and North 76 degrees 50 minutes 58 seconds East 106.84 feet to an iron pin found in the intersection of said Branch and Oak Grove County Road; thence the following six (6) courses are with the apparent center of said County Road: South 38 degrees 12 minutes 20 seconds East 68.21 feet to an iron pin found, South 53 degrees 03 minutes 20 seconds East 115.83 feet to an iron pin found, South 41 degrees 38 minutes 20 seconds East 65.00 feet to an iron pin found, South 19 degrees 23 minutes 20 seconds East 147.00 feet to an iron pin found, South 02 degrees 26 minutes 40 seconds West 120.69 feet to an iron pin found and South 17 degrees 27 minutes 52 seconds West 268.93 feet to an iron pin found in the intersection of said County Road and Green Valley County Road and Pine Ridge County Road in the South line of said Southeast quarter or the Southeast quarter; thence South 87 degrees 55 minutes 40 seconds West on and along said South line 260.60 feet to the beginning, containing 11.000 acres, more or less. (Designated as Tract No. 13 on plat and description certified June 15 1998 by Robert Allen, Registered Land Surveyor No. S0078) The file on this matter is available for public inspection at least 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the application. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing, will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
