Brown County Water Utility, Inc. is submitting a Notice of Intent (NOI) letter to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management of our intent to comply with the requirements under 327 IAC 15-5 to discharge storm water from construction activities for the following project: Proposed 2,000 GPM Water Treatment Plant. The project consists of construction of new water softening plant, site piping, wells, and water storage tanks. The proposed water treatment plant will be constructed at the present water treatment plant site located at 6690 Mahalsville Road and at the existing well field located at Red Bud Lane & Railroad Road. Storm water run-off from the project site may ultimately discharge to Indian Creek. The construction period shall be approximately from January 2011 to January 2012.
