2011 New Construction Assessment

Pursuant to the rules of the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance and Ind. Code §§ 6-1.1-4-18.5, the Brown County Assessor is undertaking a project to assess 2011 New Construction on various parcels for all property classes (except annually assessed mobile homes) in Jackson Township, Hamblen Township, Van Buren Township and Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana. Further, this project will include acting in an advisory capacity to the County Assessor and the Brown County Property Tax Assessment Board Of Appeals. Complete bid specifications are available for examination at the Brown County Assessor's Office, 201 Locust Lane, Nashville, Indiana 47448. Deadline for submission is Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Bids will be opened at the meeting of the Brown County Commissioners on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Brown County Office Building, 201 Locust Lane, Nashville, IN 47448

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF PROPOSED ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS

Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of Brown County, Nashville, Indiana the proper legal officers of said Municipal Corporation at their regular meeting in the upstairs meeting room at 6:30 P.M. NOVEMBER15, 2010 will consider the following additional appropriations in excess for the budget for the current year.

Additional Appropriations:

Cumulative Bridge Bridge #35 $65,000.00

Vaccine for Children Grant Fund  Equipment $1,451.00

User Fee Fund Cont Ed IN State Police Training $188.00

CEDIT Computer $3,365.00
