BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
FOR CARETAKERS COTTAGE TOURIST HOME
Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on November 17, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Kathryn Richardson and Tracy Johnson of Roundtop Retreats for a Special Exception to allow a tourist home. The location of the property is 1459 Oak Grove Road in Washington Township. Legal description of premises: Part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 15, Township 9 North, Range 2 East, Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner or the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 15; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East (assumed bearing) on and along the West line of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter 262.95 feet to the beginning; thence continuing North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds on and along said West line 652.55 feet to the center of Oak Grove County Road; thence Northeasterly with the center of said county road 330.00 feet; thence the following two (2) courses are through the lands of Kathryn McGinley Richardson and Tracy Lynn Johnson described in Deed Record No. 171, pages 213-214 in the office of the Recorder of Brown County, Indiana; South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 789.75 feet and North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 297.61 feet to the beginning, containing 5.00 acres, more or less.
The file on this matter is available for public inspection 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing, will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
