Unclaimed Refund Checks
South Central Indiana REMC is seeking recipients of unclaimed capital credit refund checks. SCI REMC is attempting to have more than 14,500 unclaimed capital credit refund checks totaling more than $230,000 claimed by the proper current or former SCI REMC member. Members using electrical services from South Central Indiana REMC in 1972-1974, 1976, 1995, and 1997-1999, and 2002-2006 are included on the unclaimed check list. A list of names is located on the SCI REMC website at HYPERLINK "http://www.sciremc.coop" www.sciremc.coop along with a claim form that must be filled out and returned to SCI REMC to request the refund. To coordinate your refund more efficiently, please use the resources available on the SCI REMC website. Questions can be emailed to HYPERLINK "mailto:capitalcredits@sciremc.com" capitalcredits@sciremc.com. The unclaimed checks will be available only until December 1, 2010. After that time, the money will be retained by the cooperative and returned to the general fund.
