PUBLIC NOTICE FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the County of Brown, Indiana, is accepting sealed bids until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 for the rehabilitation of eighteen (18) homes in Brown County, IN. Any bids received after that time and date will be returned unopened. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on August 11, 2010 in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room located at 201 Locust Lane, Nashville, IN 47448. Bids should be sealed and clearly marked "Brown County Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Project" and mailed or hand delivered to the Office of the Resource Coordinator, P.O. Box 37, 201 Locust Lane, Nashville, IN 47448. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) days following the deadline for receiving bids. Plans and specifications are available for public review, or may be picked up at Kenna Consulting & Management Group, Inc., 6321 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46277 (317-781-1651) between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The successful bidder must document proper insurance, bonding and licensing requirements at the time of contract execution. This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA). The contractor to whom the work is awarded shall comply with all IHCDA rules and regulations. There will be a ten percent (10%) MBE/WBE goal for this project. Bids will be reviewed using the following factors: understanding the project, experience, performance capacity, quality of work, technical and compliance experience, ability to complete the project within six (6) months of contract execution and fixed price. The County of Brown expects to award contracts within one (1) month of the bid deadline.
