REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL/STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA
Brown County Government is seeking proposals for Liability and Property Insurance Brokerage services.
Description of Services Needed: Insurance Broker services are needed to manage the procurement of property and liability insurance for Brown County. The proposal should include, but is not limited to, the services listed below. Overall requirements: Obtain multiple quotes for Brown County including coverage, pricing, and services to meet the insurance needs of the County. Manage the Brown County Government day-to-day business including policy updates, requests for quotes and additional information, and explanation of charges. Provide reports as requested and/or scheduled providing detailed information to management regarding the insurance. Provided detailed information in a format conducive to making decisions required regarding insurance coverage.
Specific Proposal Format: A one page cover page should be included in the proposal specifying:
Name, address, and contact information for the firm proposing the brokerage services. Brief explanation of the compensation structure for the brokerage services including where compensation comes from and how the amount is calculated. The one page will be followed by the additional information requested below.
Additional Proposal Details: The proposal must include sufficient information regarding qualifications and determine that the broker is qualified and experienced in the management of government insurance. The proposal should include the following: 1. Name, address and brief description of the firm. 2. A description of expertise, experience and resources directly relevant and available for the proposed service. 3. A list of references with specific contact information. 4. Name of the person who will be in charge of the service. 5. Detailed list of the services that will be provided. 6. Information of the structure of the company and structure of the service organization. 7. Information on the quality of the services provided such as metrics, testimonials, etc. 8. Timeline for implementing the service and providing results of quotes for insurance.
The proposal shall also provide the following information: name, title, address and telephone number of individuals with authority to negotiate and bind the proposer contractually, and who may be contracted during the period of proposal evaluation.
If you are interested in providing the required services, please note that four (4) copies of the Proposal of each prospective organization must be received by the Brown County Government, Auditor's Office, 201 N Locust Lane, P.O. Box 37, Nashville, IN 47448 by 4 p.m. local time on June 2, 2010.
