INVITATION FOR BIDS
YEAR 2010 MATERIALS, SUPPLIES AND
SERVICES
November, 2009
The Brown County Commissioners will be accepting
bids on the following items: Tires and
Tubes; Diesel Fuel and Unleaded Gasoline; Motor
Oils, Grease and Hydraulic Oil; Stone, Sand,
Gravel and Rip-Rap; Corrugated Aluminum Pipe
and Aluminum Structural Plate; Hauling Stone
and Sand; and F.O.B. Bituminous Paving Materials.
The term of the contract will be calendar
year 2010. Specifi cations may be obtained from
the Auditor’s Offi ce or at the County Highway
Department. Bids must be turned in no later than
November 16, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. to the offi ce of
the Brown County Auditor in Nashville, Indiana.
Bids will be opened November 16, 2009 at 6:30
P.M. Bids will be awarded on December 7, 2009
at 4:00 P.M. Bids shall be submitted with the
Brown County Non-Collusion Affi davit, copy
attached. A bid bond, certifi ed check or other
evidence of fi nancial responsibility as described
in the specifi cations shall accompany each bid.
Criteria that will be used in evaluating offers or
proposals will include the following: A. Price;
B. Quality; C. Delivery method and location;
D. Previous performance of Vendor with Brown
County; E. Whatsoever is in the best interest of
Brown County. This solicitation for bids may be
cancelled or any or all offers may be rejected, in
whole or in part, if the County Commissioners
determine that it is in the best interest of Brown
