The search continues for suspects in the Brown County shootings that killed a Helmsburg man and injured his wife.
Police said Thursday they hope the small-town atmosphere of where the attack happened will lead to word-of-mouth tips that could help solve the case.
Two “clean-shaven” teenagers entered the home of Richard “Dude” and Mary Voland early Nov. 15, shooting both of them.
Richard Voland died at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Indiana State Police have released a sketch of one of the suspects.
However, ISP Sgt. Curt Durnil said Mary Voland did not have enough information about the second suspect for a sketch of him.
Durnil encouraged anyone with information to contact police.
“We’re trying our best to keep it in the public’s eye,” Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil said. “We’re following up on leads, and the case is no where near complete.”
Information needed
Police are searching for two “clean-shaven” white teenagers as suspects in the home invasion:
Older suspect: Age 18 to 20, dark hair with olive or dark complexion. He also had a wound on one arm.
Younger suspect: Age 14 to 16, light complexion and sandy blond or light-red hair.
