Lillie Mae (Bunch) Brock, 92, Trafalgar

Lillie Mae (Bunch) Brock, 92, Trafalgar, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, July 15, 2014.

Lillie Mae was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Sneedville, Tennessee, to the late Tyler Bunch and Ollie Lillie Collins Smith. She married Hobert “Ag” Brock Oct. 27, 1943 in Morgantown. He preceded her in death May 8, 2009, after 66 devoted, loving years of marriage.

Lillie Mae was employed at Camp Atterbury in Nineveh and the Red Gold Canning Factory in Trafalgar before raising her family in Trafalgar. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, as well as a friend to her children. Lillie Mae enjoyed visiting with family and friends, photography, flower and vegetable gardening and music, especially when any of her children were singing or playing their string instruments. She was a devoted Christian and never missed an opportunity to be at her church, Spearsville Wesleyan Church, where she attended for a number of years. Lillie Mae's legacy to her family was to follow the Lord Jesus Christ and to be fun-loving and forgiving to others.

Lillie Mae will be forever remembered by her children, Hubert (Bev) Brock of Martinsville, Herbert Brock and Connie Brock of Gosport, Roger (Tammy) Brock of Brown County, Ronald Brock and Inez “Sis” (Bucky) Walters, both of Trafalgar, Fred (Karen) Brock, Troy (Karen Cody) Brock and LaVerne (Ronnie) Mays, all of Brown County, and Lillie Mae Perry of Morgantown; two sisters, Edna Schrougham of Greenwood and Opal Gibson of Sneedville, Tennessee; 29 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three infant sons; and siblings, Phyllis Crafton, Jessie Adams, Addie and Isabel Smith, Ivie Kean, Evelyn Pruitt, Leona Lee, Irene Burchett, Lester and Willie Smith, Hubert and Dennis Collins, Chester Seal, Marcus, Russell and Raymond “Ted” Smith.

The Revs. Tommie Phillips, J.C. Phillips and Ed Tharpe will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown.

Friends can call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18 and an hour before service Saturday, July 19, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Brown County.
