Virgie Snyder, 87, Nashville

Virgie Louise Snyder, age 87, of Nashville, died Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2014, at the Brown County Health and Living Center in Nashville.

She was born June 25, 1927, in Kentucky. She had worked as a prep cook at the Red Door Restaurant for several years and later at the Remember When Restaurant. She loved just being around people. She was affiliated with the Country Gospel Music Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Marianne Snyder of Milton, Florida, and Jack and Jackie Snyder of Nashville; one daughter and son-in-law, Monna and Steve Huber of Nashville; 16 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Snyder, on Oct. 24, 1982; and one son, Darrell Snyder, on Feb. 13, 1965.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the Country Gospel Music Church, 5181 State Road 46 East, Nashville, with the Rev. Jim Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville. Friends may visit the family at the church Saturday from noon to 3:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to TRIAD, c/o Brown County Sheriff’s Dept., 55 State Road 46 East, Nashville, IN 47448.

Arrangements are under the care of Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.
