Sandra K. “Sandy” (Edwards) Akers, 73, Brown County, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, June 19, 2014, at Brown County Health & Living Community.

Sandy was born in Indianapolis Dec. 17, 1940, to the late George Lee and Dorothy Helen (Wood) Edwards. She was a 1959 graduate of Whiteland High School and married Donald Denton Bullock March 1961. He preceded her in death February 1966. Sandy was a familiar face at Whitaker Chevrolet in Morgantown, where she worked as parts manager from 1976 until she retired in 2002. She enjoyed traveling with her sons to Canada on fishing trips, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and spending time with her dog, Ruby.
