Aimee Jo Summitt, 42, Bloomington
Aimee Jo Summitt, 42, Bloomington, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Aimee was born Sept. 29, 1971, in Bloomington, and was daughter of John Summitt and Glenda Standish.

Aimee was an amazing and talented artist and owner of the Purple Fig in Nashville. She was a loved mother, daughter and friend who touched the lives of many people and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Aimee is survived by her daughters, Jasmine Summitt and Olivia Pate, both of Bloomington; mother, Glenda Standish of Washington; father, John Summitt of Stinesville; grandson, Mason VanPelt of Bloomington; sister, Jessica Summitt of Washington; and her beloved friend and partner, David Church of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Vivian Evelyn (Brummett) Summitt.

A memorial service for Aimee was to be at 1 p.m. Wednesday May 7, at Old Dutch Church, 7195 N. Old Dutch Church Road, Ellettsville.
