Eva M. Baines, 81, Bloomington

Eva Mae Baines, 81, Bloomington, passed away Sunday morning, March 30, 2014 at Garden Villa Health and Living Center.

Eva was born Oct 2, 1932 in Warren County, Pence, to Donald and Marguerite Johnson Baines. She married Wilbur Allen Derringer Oct. 30, 1949 in Nashville. They divorced in 1979. To this union, two children were born; Jerry Wayne Derringer of Bean Blossom and Doris Ann Derringer Brinegar of Bloomington; both survive.

Eva was a homemaker in earlier years, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, doing crafts, puzzles and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and two brothers.

She is survived by two sisters, Nancy (Russell) Ison of Spencer and Sue Baines of North Carolina; brother, John (Mary) of Los Angeles, Calif.; her son; her daughter; grandsons, Eric Wayne Derringer of Columbus, Jerry Douglas Derringer of Bean Blossom, Zachariah Daniel (Carrie) Brinegar of China; granddaughter Rachael Nicole Brinegar of Chicago, Ill.; great-grandsons, Jerry Alan Derringer of Bean Blossom, Joshua Douglas Derringer of Greencastle, Kai Zachariah Brinegar of China; great-granddaughter, Mia Jewel Brinegar of China; several nephews and nieces; several great-nephews and great-nieces.

As per her request, there will not be services at this time. She has donated her remains to Indiana University Anatomical Education Program, where later she will be cremated and returned to the family.
