Robert W. “Bobby’ Bray, 62, Franklin

Robert W. “Bobby’ Bray, 62, Franklin, passed away Saturday morning, March 1, 2014 at his home. 

He was born in Somerset, Ky., Jan. 29, 1952 to the late Leother and Ida B. (Goodin) Bray. Bobby was retired from Davidson Industries in Franklin. He had a great passion for playing the guitar and singing country and gospel music. Bobby was a fan of NASCAR with his favorite driver being Dale Earnhart Jr. and enjoyed tinkering on automobiles. He loved his family and the time spent with his grandchildren.

Bobby is survived by his children, Tangie Bray, Robert W. (Somi) Bray II, Kimberly (Joseph) Bray-Olson and Amy Hall. He will be remembered by his eleven grandchildren; and siblings, Doris Alvy, Elizabeth Tanner, Tina Franklin and James Bray.

Bobby was preceded in death by six sisters, Yvanna Shockling, Stella Lindsey, Ruby Jasper, Vena Tucker, Phyllis Tucker and Anna Bray; and three brothers, Ernest, Hershel and Edward Lee Bray.

The Rev. Ed Tharpe will conduct a funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, March 7 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends can call from 5 p.m. until service time Friday, March 7 at the funeral home.
