Report: Fatal crash on Peoga Road UPDATED 5:04 p.m. Thursday
Updated on: 01.23.14

SPEARSVILLE -- Tony A. Allison, 53, died at the scene of a one-vehicle crash on Peoga Road today.

Allison, of Ford Ridge Road, was ejected from a white, 1992, small Ford pickup, said Brown County Chief Deputy Coroner Earl Piper. The crash was reported at 11:31 a.m. in the 3800 block of Peoga Road, between Gold Point and Spearsville roads.

Piper said it appeared the truck was westbound on Peoga Road when it went up the side of an embankment, clipped some saplings and rolled. The truck came to rest facing east. Allison was found unconscious in the road, just outside the driver's side door, Piper said.

Allison was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma and internal injuries.

Piper said it's possible he suffered "some type of episode" before crashing. He said the road conditions didn't appear to be the cause of the crash. He has ordered an autopsy and a toxicology screen, as is often the procedure in fatal crashes.
