Closings, cancellations for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

The weather has prompted the following schedule changes:

TUESDAY

  • CLOSED: Brown County schools.
  • CLOSED: Brown County offices.
  • CLOSED: Town offices. For a water or sewer emergency, call 988-5526. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, weather-permitting.  
  • CLOSED: The Brown County Recycling Center.
  • CANCELED: The Nashville Redevelopment Commission meeting.
  • CLOSED: The Brown County YMCA.
  • CLOSED: Lori's Ton O Fun daycare, if the county is still under a travel warning. If the warning is lifted, daycare will open at 8 a.m.
  • RESCHEDULED: The Brown County Chamber of Commerce meeting. It has been reset for 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14.

WEDNESDAY

  • RESCHEDULED: The Brown County Commissioners meeting, the board's first meeting of the year. The open meeting at 6 p.m. and the executive session at 4:30 p.m. have been rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 15.  
  • CLOSED: Brown County schools.
  • TWO-HOUR DELAY: The Brown County Recycling Center. It will open at 10 a.m.
  • CANCELED: The Brown County Career Resource Center Steering Committe meeting.

THURSDAY

  • CANCELED: The varsity wrestling match vs. Whiteland. Cancelling it will allow Whiteland to participate in the Brown County Wrestling Invitational on Saturday, Athletic Director Matt Tuggle reports.
