Paul A. Williams, 76, Morgantown

Paul A. Williams, 76, Morgantown, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday evening, Dec. 25, 2013.

He faithfully served his family as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Paul loved his church family and was a true servant of God. He will be missed by all of those he touched through friendship and ministry.

Paul was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Gosport, to the late Wendell and Ruth (Robertson) Williams. He attended school in Gosport and went on to marry Margo L. "Midge" Allen Sept.r 5, 1958 in Gosport. She preceded him in death June 11, 2012, after 53 years of marriage.

Paul is survived by his children, Sheryl (Jim) Graham of Solsberry, Terry (Julie) Williams of Greenwood, Tammy (Vern) Snyder of Morgantown and Brian (Brooke) Williams of Greenwood. He will be remembered by his two sisters, Janet (Bill) Bryant and Debbie (Mark) Mitchum, both of Morgantown; and seven grandchildren, Nathan, Lacey, Jared, Taylor, Amber, Nicholas and Link. 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a brother, Odus Williams.

He retired in 1998 from Hickman Trailer Sales in Morgantown after many years of service. Paul was a 50-year member of The General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Morgantown. He was very active in the church and served as an elder for 40 years. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and spreading God’s words to other churches throughout the county. Paul was a fan of Indiana University men’s basketball.

Brother’s Jeff Parker and Roger Bunch  will conduct a funeral service 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30 at Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends can call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29 at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
