Catherine E. Hatton, 85, Columbus

Catherine E. Hatton, 85, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South in Greenwood.

Mrs. Hatton was a homemaker and an artist. She enjoyed painting and flower and vegetable gardening.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 4205 Jonathan Moore Pike, Columbus. 

Family and friends can call from 11:30 a.m. until service time Thursday, Dec. 26 at the funeral home.

A reception will take place at Christiansburg United Methodist Church following the service. Burial will be at Christiansburg Cemetery in Brown County.

Memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Born in Columbus Jan. 22, 1928, Mrs. Hatton was loving daughter of Weber C. and Lela Pearl Ward Harden. She married Arnold A. Hatton June 5, 1946. He preceded her in death April 24, 1998.

Mrs. Hatton is survived by her children, Steven A. Hatton of Columbus, Suzanne C. Myrick of Brown County, Robin T. Hatton of Columbus, and Stephanie A. Hatton of Columbus; grandchildren, Crista Hatton, Nathan M. Myrick, Chadd Hatton, Trillby Hatton, and Chace Hatton; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ginger Campbell of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Hatton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and nine brothers and sisters.
