Janice A. (Fox) Bray, 74, Morgantown

Janice A. (Fox) Bray, 74, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 4, 2013, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Janice was born in Brown County Oct. 16, 1939, to the late Raymond and Bessie (Stott) Fox Sr. She married James H. Bray Oct. 24, 1976, in Trafalgar. He survives after 37 loving and devoted years of marriage. Janice retired in 2004 after 28 years of service as a nurse’s aid for Regency Place of Greenwood Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Besides her husband, Janice is survived by her loving children, James E. (Julie) Bray of Morgantown, Betty Maloy of Franklin, Robert (Pam) Maloy of North Vernon, Christina Maloy of Seymour, Brittanie Bray-Lee of Franklin, and Pam (James) Eggers of London, Ky. She will be remembered by her siblings, Donna Fulkerson of Morgantown, Laura (Ernie) Wooldridge of Nashville, Lucille Smith of Franklin and Raymond Fox Jr. of Nashville; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Maloy; and siblings, Evelyn Derringer, Vinnie Hacker, Shirley Pruitt, John, Richard, Robert, Jessie and Carl Fox.

Janice was a loving wife and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was known for her fried chicken at family gatherings. Janice enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, sewing and traveling to Kentucky to spend time with family.

The Rev. Ed Tharpe will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown.  Friends can call from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday, Dec. 6. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
