Mary Catherine “Cathy” Craig, 56, Sacramento, Calif.

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Craig, 56, of Sacramento, Calif., passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in Vancouver, Wash.

Born Oct. 3, 1957, in Newport News, Va., she was daughter of Frederic Lynn Craig and Mary Ann Craig.

Cathy was a wonderful mother, daughter and grandmother. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She made a huge impact on everyone’s lives with her positive spirit and beautiful smile. She loved her friends and neighbors. She was a member of Calvary Evangelism Center in Sacramento, Calif., and she loved her church, always talking about how wonderful it was to worship the Lord. She loved her apartment in Sacramento.

What she lived for the most was seeing her children and grandchildren and spending quality time with them.

Cathy had endured six years of dealing with complications from a rare cancer called multiple myeloma and was determined to stay active the whole time, even hours before her passing. She had the most beautiful passing, singing hymns and praising the Lord, all while being surrounded by her loved ones. She will be terribly missed by all.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Ann Craig of Vancouver, Wash.; children, Ocheanna Pearl Berciles (Napoleon Prangan Berciles) of Vancouver, Wash., Curtis Thomas Favor of Colorado, Michael Luke Favor of Indiana, Shayna Lynn Bonney (Paul Tyler Bonney) of Martinsville; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Berciles, Curtis Juliano Favor, Carmelino James Berciles, Jayden Craig Berciles, Kierra Lynlee Bonney and Scarlet Grace Bonney; brothers, Thomas Alan Craig of Sacramento, Calif., and Robert Scott Craig of Bloomington; and other family members, Abe, Rachael, Cory, Kirsten and A.J. Berciles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frederic Lynn Craig.

Visitation was to be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the funeral chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Bellsville Cemetery in Brown County, with Pastor Michael Douglas officiating.

Online condolences can be made to the family at pdcfuneralchapel.com.
