LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR

SMITH MINOR SUBDIVISION

BROWN COUNTY AREA PLAN COMMISSION

BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Area Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on October 22, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by Mark Smith to allow a 2 lot Minor Subdivision.

The location of the property is 1196 Nelson Ridge Rd. Columbus, Indiana, in Washington Township. Legal description of premises: A  part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 9 North, Range 4 East, described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said quarter quarter; thence South 00 degrees 38 minutes East along the East line of said quarter quarter 506.5 feet; thence North 89 degrees 48 minutes West 871.5 feet to the true point of beginning of the parcel of real estate herein described; thence North 89 degrees 48 minutes West 450.5 feet to the centerline of a County Road; thence North along said centerline 424.2 feet to the centerline of a branch; thence following the centerline of said branch Southeasterly 514.8 feet; thence South 301 feet to the point of beginning, containing 4.05 acres, more or less. A part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 9# North, Range 4 East, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the East line of said quarter quarter 506.5 feet South of the Northeast corner; thence South 00 degrees 38 minutes East 194.6 feet along feet East line of said quarter quarter; thence North 89 degrees 48 minutes West 1324.1 feet to the centerline of a County Road; thence North 194.6 feet along file centerline of said road; thence South 89 degrees 48 minutes East 1322 feet to the point of beginning, containing 5.91 acres, more or less.

The file on these matters is available for public inspection at least 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters set out in the petition. Written comments regarding the petition, which are filed with the secretary of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing will be considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time.
