Marsha Kay (Morris) Olivera, 67, Bloomington

Marsha Kay (Morris) Olivera, 67, Bloomington, passed away at 4:33 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at her home. She was a former resident of Brown County.

Born June 29, 1946, in Columbus, she was daughter of Jean Austerman Baltierra and the late Jack Morris.

Marsha served as director of religious education at St Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon, St. John's Catholic Church in Bloomington, and St. Anne's Catholic Church in New Castle. She loved nature and the outdoors.

Marsha is survived by her mother, Jean Austerman Baltierra; stepfather, Mike Baltierra, both of North Vernon; two sons, Frank (Laura) Olivera of Bloomington, Tony (Jena) Olivera of North Vernon; brother, Lymon "Butch" (Nancy) Koger of Redwood City, Calif.; grandchildren, Adam Likens of Elizabethtown and Payton Olivera of North Vernon; and nephews, Paul and Brent Koger.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Columbus, with the Rev. Clem Davis officiating. Calling will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

Memorials can be made to St. Vincent Hospital or Riley Hospital for Children.
