Updated on: 09.24.13

Salt Creek Golf Course will host the Great Brown County Shootout's golf scramble Sunday, Sept. 29. Registration and check-in is from 9-10 a.m. and golf starts at 10 a.m.

Individuals or teams of four can register through Wednesday, Sept. 25, for $75 per player or $300 per team. Individuals will be connected with other players to make foursomes. The cost includes green fees for 18 holes of golf, cart and lunch.

Prizes will be awarded for putting challenge, men's and women's longest drive, men's and womens longest putt, first-through fourth-place foursomes, all-star player of the day and hole in one. There will also be raffles and a silent auction.

Participants can sign up for a chance to win $10,000 in the Hole in One international competition, Cleveland Irons, a Kindle Fire HD or a $500 Visa gift card. Each player will receive a coupon for a free golf club. For $20, registrants in the Golf Digest shot competition receive a year's subscription of Golf Digest magazine and a chance to win a Cleveland Iron CG15 Clinch on a hole of the player's choice.

Proceeds from this and other Great Brown County Shootout events will benefit Brown County's nine volunteer emergency organizations. To see a full list of activities, or to register, call 812-620-8022 or visit thegreatbrowncountyshootout.com to purchase tickets.
