Boil water advisory in effect for parts of Brown County
Updated on: 08.31.13

Brown County Water Utility has issued a boil water advisory, effective as of 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, for the following areas:

  • 8656-8730 Autumn Lake Drive;
  • 8244-8590 Chickadee Drive;
  • 8029-8472 Dog Trot Lane;
  • 8137-9752 Old Haggard Road;
  • and 280-1296 Three Story Hill Road.

Approximately 99 customers are affected, and the advisory is expected to last until 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5.

Until the advisory is lifted, those using water within the specified area should bring all cooking and drinking water to a full boil for five minutes before using. This does not include water used for bathing, laundry, etc. -- only water used for human consumption.

Those in the affected areas might experiece low water pressure or a water outage. Water might also be discolored, and users are encouraged to use care while doing laundry if this is the case.

Thursday afternoon UPDATE: This boil order has been extended until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6.
