Brown County Hour to air Sunday, Sept. 1
Updated on: 08.30.13

The 18th episode of the now-monthly Brown County Hour will air from 9-10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 1 on WFHB (100.7 FM) radio.

The episode theme is, "Things that Go Thump in the Woods." It features Jeff Tryon as Tramp Star, Gunther Flumm, the motley Brown County Hour Comedy Troupe and new contributor Peggy Daily, local author of the book for women, "Practical Guide to Fishing," with a story about turtle fishing.

Special guests include violinist Carolyn Dutton; Keith Bradway reading his Bear Wallow letter to the editor; Brown County Park naturalist Cassie Norman on snakes; Jon Kay reading a James Whitcomb Riley poem; and Charlie Cole and Linda Baden discussing the controversy regarding Yellowwood road.

Those who miss the radio broadcast can listen online at WFHB.org. Older episodes of the Brown County Hour are available in the WFHB archives or on the show's Web site, www.browncountyhour.com.

Brown County Hour is produced by local volunteers who meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Traditional Arts Buidling, 46 E. Gould Street, Nashville.

Individuals who would like to join the team as writers, audio editors, interviewrs, sound effects magicians or technical wizards can contact Vera Grubbs at 988-2946 or scgrubbs@prodigy.net.
