Betty Graham, 81, Columbus

Betty Graham, 81, Columbus, passed from this life at 10:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Garden Villa in Bloomington.

Mrs. Graham was valedictorian of her graduating class at Brown County High School. She retired from Reliance Electric.

A member of Harmony Baptist Church in Brown County, she was active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Columbus, loved singing and dancing and enjoyed bowling and socializing with family and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Greg Brown officiating. Family and friends can call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Bartholomew County Humane Society.

Born in Brown County Aug. 3, 1932, Mrs. Graham was daughter of Roy and Marie Beaucamp Moore. She married Clarence J. Graham April 7, 1953. He preceded her in death July 11, 1993.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Greg) Brown of Kingwood, Texas, Connie (Steve) Hudson of Ellettsville, and Mike (Teresa Lowry) Graham of Columbus; grandchildren, Abigail and Nathan Brown, Ben (Kylie) Ayers, and Kip and Derek Graham; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Brown, Kaylyn and Wesley Ayers, and Gage, Blake, Nicholi, and Arriana Graham; a brother, Leroy Moore of Bean Blossom; sisters, Lula Pearl Moore of Brown County and Donna (Don) Petro of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Adam Brown; sisters, Geraldine Ping and Marietta Henderson; and her twin brother, Bill Moore.
