Rosita M. (LaBach) Robertson, 96, Nashville

 

Rosita M. (LaBach) Robertson, 96, Nashville, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, Aug. 24, 2013.

Rosita was born July 7, 1917 in Homestead, Pa. to the late Joseph and Illona (Havrilla) LaBach. She married Charles T. Robertson Jan. 6, 1945 in Columbus. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1993, after 49 loving years of marriage.

Rosita retired in 1993 as the bookkeeper for Schooner Valley Stables. Prior to that, she was owner and operator of One Stop Dry Cleaning from 1959 - 1971.

Survivors include two sons, Mike J. (Jenny) Robertson of Nashville and Jonathan C. (Vickie) Robertson of Mesa, Ariz.; and a daughter, Pamela M. (Vid) Warren of Nashville. Rosita will be remembered by her brother, William LaBach of McKees Rocks, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Chuck (Rachel) Robertson and Joe (Charrise) Robertson, both of Nashville, Sabrina (Lee) Mantle of Cincinnati, Ohio, Triana (Brian) King of Nashville, Alana (Josh) Mason of Newport, N.C., Adam (Jennifer) Tyskiewicz of Sweetwater, Luke (Christina) Robertson of Nashville and Rusty (Sean) Reese of Oceanside, Calif.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Randy R. Robertson; a grandson, Jeremiah Robertson; four brothers, Joseph, John, Frank, and Ed LaBach; and three sisters, Elizabeth Antom, Margie Walton and Elanore Scwecki.

Rosita was a 77-year member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed braiding rugs, quilting, sewing, crocheting and knitting. Rosita provided for her family by raising everything her family ate on her farm and even made her son’s suits from scratch. She was an avid reader of gardening books, cookbooks and scripture. Rosita enjoyed listening to Hungarian music, violin and piano music.

Minister Jeffrey Spann will conduct a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 at Nashville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2123 Greasy Creek Road. The service will be simulcast live at Mikes Dance Barn, 2277 State Road 46 West, with a gathering of friends and family following the service. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
