Helen Margaret 'Peggy' Glaze, 91, Nashville

Helen Margaret Glaze, known to many as Peggy, died Aug. 17, 2013, at the age of 91, at Brown County Health & Living Community.

She was born in Indianapolis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shertzer. She attended Indiana University. She was married Aug. 22, 1941 to James Glaze of Bloomington. She worked for Tarzians attaching tuners, but her passion was designing dresses. She fulfilled her passion by making clothes for their three children and later by making Barbie doll clothes. She enjoyed giving the Barbie clothes to her grandchildren and others who enjoyed them.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Small; three children, Tommye (Jim) Haas, Danna (Jim) Bowman, and Allen (Karen) Glaze; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 19, at Day Funeral Home, Bloomington, officiated by the Reverend Rick Clayton. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
