Nell Lee Crowley, 93, Nashville
Nell Lee Crowley, 93, formerly of Charlestown and Bloomington, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at Brown County Health & Living Community.

She was born April 8, 1920, in Ohio County, Ky., to Heaverin and Corrine (Dennis) Bolton.

Nell was preceded in death by husbands, Dorman Elmo Wiggins and Everett Crowley; her brother, William Bolton; and sisters, Bettie Bolton, Margaret Grace, and Alberta Kelley.

She is survived by her brother, Edward Earl (Dick) Bolton of Charlestown; her son, Gary Dorman Wiggins and daughter-in-law, Mia (Stanislavka Radoicic) Wiggins of Bloomington; and grandsons, Alan Daniel Wiggins (wife, Jennifer Irwin) of Plymouth, Mich., and Thomas Bruce Wiggins of Bloomington. Also surviving are nieces, Patricia (Kelley) Wright of North Vernon and Lana (Grace) Himmelheber of Jeffersonville; nephews, David Grace of Charlestown and Tony Kelley; and cousins, Linda Sue (Dennis) Winters and Jack Dennis.

Nell was a former employee of the Powder Plant at Charlestown. She also worked as a cook in Bloomington, both at Indiana University and at Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. She was a member of North Charlestown Church of God.

Nell was a loving mother and grandmother who helped raise her niece, Pat Wright. Her kindness and generosity in caring for others will long be remembered by her family.

Services took place Aug. 15 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Burial was at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation was before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
