Doug Haines, 29, Brown County

Doug A. Haines, 29, passed away all too sudden Thursday afternoon, July 18, 2013, in Brown County. He was a resident of Brown County.

Doug was born in Franklin Oct. 31, 1983, to Doug and Kathy (Reeves) Haines. He was a 2001 graduate of Brown County High School and worked as a self-employed contractor. Prior to that, he worked in maintenance at the Artist Colony in Nashville.

Doug was known as a hard worker who enjoyed working on and riding sand rails. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Doug is survived by his two sisters, Anne M. Haines of Nashville and Lisa Hobson of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews, Michael Haines, Dakota Hobson, Heather Hobson and Dillon Hobson, all of Brown County, and Mikayla Thompson and Mikesha Shipley, both of Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends can call from 5 p.m. until service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Hamblin-Taggart Cemetery in Gatesville.
