Faye LaClaire, 81, Hayden, Idaho

Faye LaClaire, 81, former Brown County resident, passed away July 7, 2013 at Hayden Valley Assisted Living in Hayden, Idaho.

Faye was born to Leonard and Rosalind Frazier March 29, 1932 in Raleigh, N. C.  She grew up in Jacksonville, Fla. before moving to Fort Wayne, where she graduated from Northside High School in 1950. She married William (Bill) McGahey in 1953 in Fort Wayne, where they lived before moving to Brown County in 1968.

Faye owned an antique store in Nashville during the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was active in church activities in Brown County and Haywood County, North Carolina where she lived from 1983 to 2004. She was also regular volunteer at the food bank at Village Chapel in Renton, Wash., where she resided from 2004 to 2009.

Faye is survived by her four children, Kim Graham of Aloha, Ore., Jody (Ralph) Paul of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Kirk (Julianna) McGahey of Prosser, Wash., Gary (Mary) McGahey of Renton, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service was conducted Friday, July 12 at Hayden Valley Assisted Living in Hayden, Idaho.

All family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life that will take place Saturday, August 24 at the residence of Kirk and Juli McGahey in Prosser, Wash.
