Public Hearing for community development, housing needs and block grant program

PUBLIC NOTICE

On or about July 19, 2013, Housing Partnerships, Inc. a Division of Thrive- Alliance intends to apply to the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for a grant from the State Community Development Block Grant Program.  This program is funded by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.  The purpose of this application shall be for owner-occupied rehabilitation of scattered site units throughout Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties.

Housing Partnerships, Inc. will hold a public hearing on July 9, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Thrive- Alliance conference room, 1531 13th Street, Ste. G-900 in Columbus, Indiana to provide citizens an opportunity to express their views on community development and housing needs, past community development and housing activities, and the proposed project.  Previously, Housing Partnerships, Inc. was a sub-recipient and received Community Development Block Grant funds for Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation program in 2004. 

Records regarding the accounting of these beneficiaries and funds are available from Charity Hall, Administrative Assistant, Housing Partnerships, Inc. 1531 13th Street, Ste. G-900, Columbus, Indiana  47201, (812) 376-9458. Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding these issues either at the public hearing or by prior written statement.  A plan to minimize displacement and provide assistance to those displaced has been prepared and is available to the public.  The application will be available at Housing Partnerships, Inc. for review and comment on July 9, 2013.  Information concerning the proposed development may be obtained from Julie Beaubien at (812) 376-9458 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
