Donald O'Rear, 75, Brown County

Donald A. O’Rear, 75, died unexpectedly at his home in Brown County on June 26, 2013.

He was born in Indianapolis on Aug. 24, 1937, the son of Raymond and Helen (Shepherd) O’Rear.

Donald was a U.S. Marine and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Hall on Oct. 1, 1994.

Don dearly loved his farm and all that went with it. His animals, especially his cats and horses, were his greatest pleasure. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, mowing the lawn and working on the farm.

Don is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth; son, Craig (wife Rayelle) O’Rear;  daughter, Chrissy (husband Mike) Asbell; step-son, Cory (wife Felicia) Atwell; and step-daughter, Dana (husband David) Crigler. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (wife Sheri) O’Rear and Steve (wife Jackie) O’Rear; and one sister, Sharon (husband Denny) Bardash.

Visitation will be at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 N, Nashville, Friday, June 28  from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville on Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
