Michial W. Rouse, 60, Freetown

Michial W. Rouse, 60, Freetown, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Mike was a farmer and retired journeyman painter. A member of International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, he retired in 2012. He attended Kurtz Church of the Nazarene.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and granddaughter, and some of his fondest memories were made while being a part of family activities and watching his children play sports. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outside, especially on his hunting trips to Idaho and Colorado. He also enjoyed planting a garden and working with animals.

Born July 7, 1952, in Franklin, he was son of Henry and Elma Rouse. He married Theresa "Terri" Murphy June 25, 1977. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and Dean Rouse.

Other survivors include children, Carmeleta (Sam) Beagle of Indianapolis, Sabrina Burton of Norman, and Zebulon Rouse (fiancée, Jessica Palermo) of Raleigh, N.C.; a granddaughter, Brynn Burton; sisters, Margrett Moussa of Houston, Texas, and Marcella Hopkins of Nashville; and brothers, Marvin Rouse of Ash Fork, Ariz., Melvin Rouse (Marty) of Congress, Ariz., and David (Debbie) Rouse of Spraytown.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at noon Saturday, May, 11 2013, at Kurtz Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Floyd Fisher officiating. Family and friends can call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday the church.

Memorials can be made through Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown to Premier Hospice and Palliative Care or to Kurtz Church of the Nazarene.
