Charles Richard Henry, 68, Brown County

Charles Richard Henry, 68, Brown County, passed away peacefully Friday evening, April 19, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Indianapolis Nov. 1, 1944 to his parents, the late Donald and Violet (Walter) Henry. Richard is survived by his wife, Felda (Barger) Henry whom he married Sept. 21, 1986 at Beech Grove Church in Johnson County.

Also surviving are his children, Charles Richard Henry Jr. of Morgantown and Angie Henry of Kingston, Mich.; two stepsons, Jim and Mike Aldrich, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Trava Kay (Tom) Hendrixson of Bicknell, Rosetta Brown of Anderson, and Sandra K. Ceaser of Tacoma, Wash.; and a sister-in-law, Alice Henry of Indianapolis.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Henry.

He retired in 1998 from Brown County Water Utility Company. Prior to that, he worked construction. Charles was a member of Stamper’s Creek Historic Baptist Church in Orleans. He enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Richard was a fan of NASCAR and most sports.

Pastor Mike Hoover will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends can call from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
