Paul Buccos, 76, Nashville

Paul F. Buccos, 76, passed away peacefully Monday evening, April 8, 2013, at his residence in Nashville after a short and very courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was born in New York, N.Y., Nov. 30, 1936, to Peter and Mary Ellen (LaFrancis) Buccos. Paul served eight years with the New York National Guard. Paul married Mildred Edna (Grenz) Buccos April 7, 1957, in Bronx, N.Y.  She preceded him in death Nov. 14, 2003, after 46 loving years.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Peter Buccos.

Paul is survived by his four sons, Paul S. (Lisa) Buccos of Haverhill, Mass., Thomas K. (Chris) Buccos of Morgantown, Joseph M. (Lori) Buccos of Biscoe, N.C., and Gene A. Buccos of Morgantown. He will be remembered by his sister, Marge Jaramillo of Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Paul retired in 1987 after more than 45 years as an over-the-road truck driver. Early in his career he started driving for McLean Trucking and then Preston Trucking 151, both of Indianapolis, and then retired from Teamsters Local 135 in Indianapolis. In his free time, Paul worked on the family farm in Nashville, raising crops and cattle. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and spending time with his family.

The Rev. Leroy Collins will conduct a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends can call from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nineveh Cemetery with military rites presented by Brown County Honor Guard.
