Dawn McCabe-Fischer, 67, Colorado

Dawn McCabe-Fischer, 67, of Colorado, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013.

Dawn was born on Aug. 10, 1945 in Columbus to the late Gretchen and Norman Tucker. She is survived by children, Lisa and Michael McCabe and Rick Metsig; grandchildren, Elias Aragon, Reyna Sandoval, Sara, Stephen, Andrew and Alyssa Metsig, and Gavin Hutchins; and siblings, Michael and Matthew Tucker, Debra Bruggeman, Doug and Deena Pelton.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bryan Metsig; and brother, Rick Tucker.

Dawn worked in property management for many years in Nashville, North Hollywood, Calif., and for the last 15 years in Denver, Colo. She was a musician and a beautiful vocalist. She had a passion for photography and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Dawn was affectionately known as a foul-mouthed spitfire and was a master of telling great stories. She will be missed by many. 

Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home and Colorado Crematory in Arvada, Colo. are handling the arrangements.

In loving memory of Dawn, services will be conducted on Monday, April 15 at Crossroads Church in Wheat Ridge, Colo.
