Morris E. Zook, 66, Indianapolis

Morris E. Zook, 66, passed away Thursday morning, April 4, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis and former resident of Brown County.

Morris was born in Martinsville on Dec. 15, 1946, to the late Roy and Mary (Black) Zook. He was a 1965 graduate of Trafalgar High School and went on to serve with the Seabees of the United States Navy as a petty officer during the Vietnam War.

Morris was a retired over-the-road truck driver who enjoyed spending time with his friends and throwing darts.

He is survived by a son, Eddie Zook of Florida; two sisters, Helen Harmon of Nashville and Patsy Fowler of Mooresville; two grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Rhoda Walker of Southport.

Morris was preceded in death by a son, Chad Zook.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends can call from1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with military rites presented by Martinsville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars honor guards.
