Robert B. Henry, 64, Columbus, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Brown County Health and Living Facility in Nashville.
Born March 7, 1949 in Greensburg, Bob was son of Austin B. and Barbara J. Wells Henry. He married Glenda M. Hashman May 18, 1974, at East Columbus United Methodist Church.
He retired from the U.S. Army after serving 21 years and was formerly employed at Doctors Park Pharmacy. He was a member of First Christian Church and attended East Columbus United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed softball, golfing, bowling, watching and attending sporting events, and his favorite NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon. He loved spending time with family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at East Columbus United Methodist Church with Reverend Charles Aigner officiating. Family and friends can call from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to East Columbus United Methodist Church personal outreach ministry.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation is planned.

Bob is survived by his wife, Glenda; his father, of Columbus; children, Rob (Katrina) Henry of Texas, and A.J. Henry of Columbus; brothers, Larry (Mary) Henry of Chesterton, and Doug Henry of Franklin; a sister, Shirley (Al) Smith of Buckeye, Ariz.; three stepgrandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara J. Eddy.
