Natalie M. "Tallie" Thompson, 91, of Edinburgh, died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Homeview of Franklin.

Mrs. Thompson retired in 2002 from Como Plastics in Columbus. She was a member of Edinburgh United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, enjoyed gardening and was known for her "Tallie cookies."

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Edinburgh United Methodist Church, 107 W. Campbell St., with the Rev. Kevin Reed and the Rev. Byron Fritz officiating. Calling will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8 and from noon until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Memorial contributions can be made to Edinburgh United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.

Born in Indianapolis Sept. 21, 1921, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Joseph Gasser and Magdaline Pinch Gasser. She married Lawrence Thompson Aug. 16, 1941. He preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1973.

She is survived by a son, Wayne (Sue) Thompson of Nineveh; daughters, Shirley (Larry) Eades of Franklin and Judy (Kenny) Simpson of Columbus; brothers, Roman (Jean) and Erich (Betty) Gasser, both of Scottsburg; five grandchildren, Delaine DeHart, Shannon Phelps, Gwen Todd, Jason Simpson and Emily Watson; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Merle, George and Nelson Gasser.
