Hazel Schonfeld, 93, Nashville

Hazel Schonfeld, 93, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Feb. 26, 2013 at 4:05 p.m. at Brown County Health & Living Commnity.
Born in Jackson County on Jan. 30, 1920, she was a daughter of Charles and Ruth (Ackert) Reedy. Hazel had worked at Columbus Regional Hospital in the accounting department. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. She participated and sang with singing group “Sweet Adelines”. Hazel was a member of First Lutheran Church, Columbus.
She married Raymond Schonfeld and he preceded her in death in 1988.

Survivors include two daughters, Margie Lucas and Ruby (Bob) Daemes; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her spouse; a daughter, Patricia Shaw; a granddaughter, Robbin Cook; and a brother, Kenneth Reedy.

Memorial donations can be made to Our Hospice, South Central Indiana.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, 320 North High St. in Brownstown. Services will take place at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 600 North High St., Brownstown.
