Fonda Lee (Day) Asher, 58, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Feb. 22, 2013 at her home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a former resident of Indianapolis.

Fonda was born Aug. 28, 1954 in Indianapolis to her parents, Harold H. and Joanne (McAllister) Day. She was a 1973 graduate of Brown County High School and went on to marry John H. Asher on March 25, 1994 in Indianapolis. He survives after seventeen loving years. Also surviving is her mother, Joanne Day of Brown County; three children, Leah (Mark) Hassertt, Marcus and Patrick Edinger, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. She will be remembered by her siblings, Denise (Boyce) Baldwin of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Cindy Zimmerman of Samaria, Steve (Lisa) Day of Helmsburg, Jamie (Tanya) Day of Martinsville and Chris Day of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Darion and Ayden Hassertt.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a nephew, Chet Zimmerman. 

Fonda was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching movies, collecting tea pots, fishing and playing video games with her children. Fonda was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts with Peyton Manning being her favorite NFL player.

Pastor Dave Vaughn will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends can call from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
