ORDINANCE NO. 2013-01

AN ORDINANCE REGARDING TRAILER PARKING REGULATION IN THE TOWN OF NASHVILLE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA

WHEREAS: Parking has always been a concern for both residents and visitors to the Town of Nashville and;

WHEREAS: The Town Council has become aware of an abuse of public parking space for the parking of trailers and non-powered wheeled vehicles;

It is therefore Ordained that the Traffic Code be amended to include the following;

No vehicle defined as a "trailer" under the Indiana Motor Vehicle Code (I.C. 9-13-2-184) shall be parked on a public street for a period exceeding four (4) hours within any twenty-four (24) hour period.  Permits may be granted for special events or special circumstances allowing trailer parking in excess of the times set out herein.

This ordinance shall become effective upon passage and publication and shall be codified as section 71.06 of the Traffic Code.

IT IS SO ORDAINED ON THIS 17TH Day of January 2013 BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE NASHVILLE TOWN COUNCIL.
