9:09 a.m.: A woman was found dead after a fire inside a house on East Washington Street this morning, Nashville police have confirmed.

Her identity has not been released, pending the notification of relatives.

The fire was reported sometime after 6 a.m. by a Brown County Schools bus driver. Nashville firefighters reported finding flames shooting out the front door and windows.
