Agnes (Perkins) Luttrell, 72, Helmsburg

Agnes (Perkins) Luttrell, 72, of Helmsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, 2013, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was a former resident of Indianapolis. By her side was her devoted husband of 52 years, Gene Luttrell, whom she married on Nov. 4, 1960, in Southport.

She was a loving mother to Mandy (Brad) Richey, Marla (Mike) Lamping and Marcy (Daniel) Sanchez all of Indianapolis and Brent (Bobbi Jo) Luttrell of Brown County. Agnes will be remembered by her brother, Ancil (Jan) Perkins of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was born in Campbellsville, Ky., on Jan. 2, 1941, to the late Ralph & Annie (Wooley) Perkins. Agnes was a 1960 graduate of Southport High School. She was a dedicated 30-year member of Bean Blossom Baptist Church in Brown County and enjoyed reading her Bible daily. Agnes also enjoyed working in her garden, cooking for her family, mushroom hunting and watching and feeding the birds.

The Rev. James Brown will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Bean Blossom Baptist Church, 5858 Spearsville Road. Friends can call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Meredith–Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street, Morgantown. Burial will be at Lanham Ridge Cemetery.
