LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION

BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on January 23, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the County Office Building.  The purpose of the meeting is to consider a petition by John M. Simpson for a Special Exception to allow a country club and golf course.

The location of the property is 2381 Country Club Road in Washington Township.

Legal description of premises:

ALSO,  a part of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 22, Township 9 North, Range 2 East, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 9 rods South of the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 22, Township 9 North, Range 2 East; thence South 71 rods to the Southwest corner of said quarter quarter section; thence East 39 rods to the center of the Road; thence following the meanderings of the Public Road to a point 9 rods South of the North line of said quarter quarter section; thence West 38 rods 11 links to the place of beginning, containing 16-3/4 acres, more or less.

ALSO, a part of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 22, Township 9 North, Range 2 East, Washington Township, Brown County, Indiana, and described as follows:  Beginning at a 3/4 inch iron pipe found, said pipe bears North 300.8 feet from the Southeast corner of said quarter quarter; thence North 01 degree 23 minutes West (an assumed bearing) along the East line of said quarter quarter 375.5 feet to a 3/4 inch pipe found; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes West a distance of 200.00 feet to a 5/8 inch rebar set; thence South 01 degree 23 minutes East a distance of 375.5 feet to a 5/8 inch rebar set; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes East to the point of beginning containing 1.7 acres, more or less.

The file on this matter is available for public inspection at least 10 days prior to the hearing, during the regular working hours at the Brown County Area Plan Commission office in the County Office Building, Nashville, Indiana.
